Additional Farm Info
In 2015, El Arcangel was established and by 2017 its first harvest had taken place. One distinctive feature of this farm is that the red and yellow caturras were cultivated separately from the other varieties to preserve and highlight their unique qualities in each lot. The coffee was planted in a way that promotes harmonious growth and harvesting practices.
The coffees are first processed at a wet mill before drying it on beds with mechanical dryers that simulate day/night light. The coffee is then bagged and sent to the dry mill in La Paz for export. The family experiments with processing and yeast use. Although, it rained heavily before the harvest the weather throughout the harvest period was good, making it ideal for producing naturals this year.
